1. What we use

SanCai uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries, and only where they are needed to operate the service:

• Authentication session (strictly necessary): the dashboard stores your Supabase session token in a first-party cookie so you stay signed in. Without it the console cannot function.
• Consent choice (strictly necessary): your accept/decline decision is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every visit.
• Theme preference (functional): your light/dark mode choice is stored locally in your browser.
• Product analytics (optional, consent required): if you accept cookies, PostHog sets a first-party analytics cookie on the marketing site so we can understand which pages are useful. PostHog loads without recording anything until you accept (it needs to run to power feature flags), starts collecting analytics only after consent, and stays opted out if you decline.

2. What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Our marketing site uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool, for aggregate pageview counts. Declining cookies does not reduce any functionality.

3. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking the authentication cookie will sign you out of the dashboard. To withdraw consent on this site, clear your browser's local storage for this domain and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
